| Why
Pakistan?
Besides having an extremely poor illiteracy
rate, the future seems grim given that
government spending on education is a little
over 2% of GNP and private education is beyond
the means of an average Pakistani. We need to
rely on low-cost high-quality private
initiatives to solve the education crisis that
Pakistan's children face. Its critical to
provide these kids with education so they're
able to break the cycle of poverty that inflicts
66% of the country, to say no to extremism and
become a force of positive socio-economic
change. |
