dreamfly badin campus project status

These are exciting times! See pictures of the school as it goes up.

* In total, $100,000 is required to construct the dreamfly badin campus, furnish it and stock its library with books and school equipment and purchase a van to carry teachers back and forth from nearby towns.

* Umaimah has donated land in Akri for the construction of the school

* We have raised $65,000 - we still need $35,000 to reach our goal - help us get there

* We're all set for the the school inauguration towards the end of FY09

* School floor plan is complete. Its an airy spacious 2-storey floor plan that will give our kids room to run around, study, indulge in school activities and learn new sports and games. We have also accommodated for future plans of constructing a high school building next to the primary school building.

* Construction of the boundary wall of the 2 acre plot of land designated for the dreamfly school is complete! We're ensuring that bricks for the local brick kiln are used. This will engage the community in the dreamfly school.

* Foundation work for the school is done. Construction work is in full force.

* Orders for books & furniture has been placed

* Hiring of teachers, staff and enrollment of children will start in May.
